Ok, seems like a strange revelation at this point, but it kind of hit me yesterday. I had almost a romanticized version of all this in my head. Basically, I assumed that it would take the exact same course as my Mom's. But it probably wouldn't. She had a mastectomy and the margins were clear, no radiation, no chemo, just Tamoxifin.
But I'm younger, and premenopausal. I have a pretty big mass (4.5cm x 1.5cm). Radiation and/or chemo would likely be in my future.
By this time this week I'll know. I've never wished for fat so much!
